Biographical Information[edit]

Catcher Carl Nichols played six seasons in the majors, twelve seasons in the minors, and five years in independent ball.

Carl was signed as a 4th round pick in the 1980 amateur draft by the Baltimore Orioles and scout Larry Himes.

Nichols is the uncle of Ray Lankford. After his retirement, he became a coach at Major League Baseball's Urban Youth Academy in Compton, CA.
