Biographical Information[edit]

Bryan Escanio has pitched in the minors and for the Puerto Rican national team.

He was 3-3 with a 3.65 ERA in his pro debut for the 2009 DSL Diamondbacks. He had a save and a 8.44 ERA for them in 2010. In 2011, he split time between the AZL Diamondbacks (3-3, 5.40) and DSL Diamondbacks (0-1, Sv, 2.61). He then went to the Cangrejeros de Santurce, going 0-1 with a 4.96 ERA in 2012-2013. In 2013-2014, he had a 0-1, 3.55 record. He struggled the next winter (6.23 ERA, 2.19 WHIP in 8 G). He was 1-1 with 11 saves and a 3.70 ERA for the 2015 Vallejo Admirals. He was second in the Pacific Association in saves, 3 behind Steve Chapter.

For Santurce in 2015-2016, he was sharper (0-2, 1.98). He was 5-3 with a 5.61 ERA for the 2016 Sioux City Explorers then was 0-1 with a 2.92 ERA for the 2016-2017 Cangrejeros then had a 4.91 ERA for 3 games in 2017-2018. He then joined Puerto Rico for the 2018 Central American and Caribbean Games.
