Biographical Information[edit]

Briley Knight has played in the independent league and for the Australian national team.

Knight hit .493 as a high school senior and was All-State; he also was all-league in football. [1] He hit .255/.347/.400 as a freshman at Utah then .321/.441/.429 in a COVID-19-shortened 2020. In 2021, he transferred to Portland and batted .247/.359/.414, following with a .252/.370/.511 season in 2022 (cut short by injury) and .322/.409/.487 with 21 doubles in 50 games in '23. He was third in the West Coast Conference in doubles and tied for 10th with 43 RBI.

He represented Australia in the 2023 Asia Professional Baseball Championship, and he was 1-for-4 with a single against Dong-ju Moon of South Korea as the starting designated hitter in their opener. He was then 0-for-3 against Chinese Taipei, and he didn't get a single at-bat in the game versus Japan. In the Bronze Medal Game, Knight went 1-for-1 with an infield single against Po-Ching Chen, but Chinese Taipei beat them thanks to Tien-Hsin Kuo's walk-off hit.[2] He hit .319/.434/.464 for the Adelaide Giants in 2023-2024, and he played for the Billings Mustangs in 2024.
