Brice Lorienne has played first base and outfield for Arvernes de Clermont-Ferrand since joining the club in 2000. He was selected as the best batter during the European Junior Championship in 2007, hitting .556/.571/.722 with 5 RBI in 5 games ^[1] ^[2] He tied for the tourney lead in hits (10), led in doubles (3) and led in total bases (13). ^[3] He beat out a number of players who would sign with major league teams within the next year, including Rien Vernooij, Frédéric Hanvi, Matěj Hejma, Thomas De Wolf and Donald Lutz.

In 2008, Lorienne made his Division Elite debut, hitting .298/.419/.463 and leading his team with 24 RBI.
