Biographical Information[edit]

Brian Daly a pitcher for seven minor league seasons, all in the independent leagues, from 2004 to 2011.

Daly was 1-1 with a 4.23 ERA at Northwestern State University in 2003. He began his professional career with two shutout innings for the 2004 Windy City Thunderbolts. After not appearing anywhere in 2005, in 2006, the big right-hander had a 6-6, 6.30 record between the Edinburg Coyotes and Laredo Broncos, both of the United Baseball League. He spent all of 2007 with Laredo, where he was 4-7 with 4 saves and a 5.00 ERA. In 2008, he pitched for the San Angelo Colts and Harlingen WhiteWings, with a composite 0-6, 9.71 record and 6 saves in a forgettable campaign. He allowed 48 hits and 22 walks in 29 2/3 innings.

The Northwestern State alumnus spent 2009 and 2010 with the Tucson Toros of the Golden Baseball League. The first year, he was 1-3 with 2 saves and a 7.16 ERA, followed by 1-0, 6.06 in 2010. Through 2010, he was 12-22 with a 6.24 ERA in 121 games in pro ball. He then played one final season in 2011 with the Lake County Fielders of the North American League, going 0-1, 13.50 in 5 games.

Daly then became an assistant coach at Southeastern Illinois College and Shawnee Community College, and was later the head coach at Shawnee Community College.
