Biographical Information[edit]

Bob Rossi scouted for over 25 years. His twin brother Phil Rossi has also been a scout.

Bob was All-Conference in college. He coached Bishop Klonowski High School in 1978-1979. He played briefly for Milano in Italy in 1980, hitting .292/.324/.344 with 24 RBI in 23 games, stealing 7 bases in 11 tries and fielding .947 in center field. From 1979-1985, he was a part-time St. Louis Cardinals scout. He also coached Scranton Prep High School to their first title in 1985. He then became a full-time scout, for the Pittsburgh Pirates (1986-1990), New York Mets (1991-2004) and Chicago Cubs (2005-2007). He signed Craig Brazell, Josh Donaldson, Chase Lambin, Keith Osik, Matt Peterson and Ed Yarnall.
