Biographical Information[edit]

Bob Hoerner played outfield for two seasons in the farm system of the Chicago Cubs.

He spent the 1948 and 1949 seasons with the Sioux Falls Canaries of the Class C Northern League. In 193 games, Bob hit .266 with 33 doubles, 8 triples, and 7 home runs.

Hoerner left baseball for financial reasons and moved back to his hometown of Dubuque, IA. He took a job as a manager in the electronics department of Sears and retired from there after 35 years.

Bob's brother Joe played in the majors.
