Biographical Information[edit]
After his playing career which was shortened by an arm injury, catcher Bob Henley became a minor league manager in the Montreal Expos/Washington Nationals organization. In 2010, he was appointed the Nationals' Minor League field coordinator. In 2014, he was promoted to third base coach with the major league team following the appointment of Matt Williams as manager; he was fired alongside Williams after the 2015 season, but then a few weeks later was brought back to be the team's third base coach again in 2016. In 2020, he moved to the first base coaching position, then moved back to third base in 2021, which was his last season as a coach.
