Biographical Information[edit]

Starting pitcher Bo Kennedy spent 8 seasons in the minors, including parts of three at Triple-A. He won 10-plus games five seasons in a row and for most of his career pitched above his age-level, but he never reached the major leagues.

He was taken by the Chicago White Sox in the 6th round of the 1986 amateur draft, a few picks after catcher Eddie Taubensee and a few ahead of pitcher Tom Gordon. He remained in the White Sox system through 1992, winning at least 10 games each season from 1988 to that year. His records in that span were, respectively, 10-8, 14-7, 11-12, 13-7 and 11-9. He had a 2.81 mark with 6 complete games in 22 starts the final campaign.

Though he performed well in the low- and mid-minors, he struggled at Triple-A. He reached the level for the first time in 1991 and spent parts of the next two seasons there, as well, going 7-13 with a 5.71 ERA in 60 games (23 starts) combined.

He wrapped up his career in the Cincinnati Reds system in 1993, going 67-58 with a 3.98 ERA in 211 games (160 starts) overall. He allowed 1,048 hits and 480 walks in 1,054 innings for a 1.450 WHIP, while striking out 690 batters.
