Biographical Information[edit]
Billy MacLeod pitched two games for the Boston Red Sox in 1962 at age 20. Teammate Wilbur Wood, a fellow New Englander, was also 20. Both MacLeod and Wood pitched in the Hearst Sandlot Classic at Fenway Park in 1959.
He was head coach of Salem State University before being fired for his reported involvement in faking winners, scores and even news accounts of games that never were played. [1]
