Biographical Information

Billy Lee was an outfielder for the St. Louis Browns 1915 and 1916, playing 25 games. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I (BN). He was managed by the great Mahatma, Branch Rickey. After the Browns, he became a scout under Mr. Rickey, with the St. Louis Cardinals. He coached basketball, football and baseball at Bayonne High School in Bayonne, NJ, retiring to the Hazleton, PA area in 1963. He died three days short of his 92nd birthday at St. Joseph Hospital in West Hazleton, PA and is buried at Calvary Cemetery in Drums, PA.
