Biographical Information[edit]
Bill Kienzle played briefly in the majors in 1882 and then was a regular in the 1884 Union Association. His minor league career ran at least through 1890.
He was variously referred to in the press as William, Billy and "Pop".
"Kienzle, centre fielder, acquired a good reputation with the Athletics, Atlantic Citys and Wilmingtons as a heavy left-hand batter, and is above the average fielders." - Sporting Life, Jan. 20, 1886
