Biographical Information[edit]

Catcher Bill Heath played four seasons for four different teams in the majors. A peak was with the Houston Astros in 1966; he had the most at-bats of his major league career and responded by hitting .301, in a league that hit .256. In his final major league game with the Chicago Cubs on August 19, 1969, he started in place of an ailing Randy Hundley and caught the first 8 innings of Ken Holtzman's no-hitter against the Atlanta Braves, but a foul ball off the bat of Gil Garrido broke a bone in his hand, and Gene Oliver finished the game behind the plate.

Heath was at the University of Southern California at the same time as Don Buford and Ron Fairly.

He earned his MBA in 1981 from the University of Houston and has worked as a financial advisor for over 30 years. Since 1998, each year he has been named one of America's top financial advisers by Worth magazine. Source: Heath's financial website
