Biographical Information[edit]
Bill Hallman was a regular outfielder on the 1901 Milwaukee Brewers in the first year of the new American League. The Brewers were managed by Hugh Duffy, who also played outfield on the team.
Hallman never again played over 100 games in a major league season, but in his last year, with the 1907 Pittsburgh Pirates, he appeared in 94 games playing in the outfield alongside another Hall of Fame player-manager, Fred Clarke.
The other Bill Hallman was his uncle, and their major league careers overlapped.
