Biographical Information[edit]

Bartolo Mojica spent six seasons in the minors.

Mojica debuted in 1971 with the Ciudad Mante Caneros. He hit .250/.327/.288 and led the Mexican Center League's catchers with a .987 fielding percentage. In 1972, he batted .274/.354/.374 for the Naranjos and was named a MCL All-Star catcher, alongside Norberto Guillen. He made it to the Mexican League in 1974 with the Alijadores de Tampico, going 6 for 19 with five walks. In 1975, he was 0 for 1 for Tampico. He also played for the 1979-1980 Bravos de León, hitting a meek .126/.220/.137 in 41 games the first year. In 1980, he played error-free ball while hitting .277/.349/.341 as the Bravos' backup backstop. Overall, he had batted .207/.293/.242 in 90 Mexican League games.
