Biographical Information[edit]
Barney Graham played in the Union Association in its only season, in 1884. He had previously been playing for Worcester, and made his debut in the league on July 11th.
Graham became a regular outfielder with the Baltimore Monumentals, hitting .269 on a team which hit .245. He hit singles well, although he had no triples or home runs and almost never drew a walk. The team finished 58-47.
Graham continued to play in the minors in 1885-86. He died of typhoid fever in Mobile, AL in the fall of 1886 and was buried in Beloit, WI, which was long wrongly identified as his birth city.
