Aubrey Taylor was 6-0 for Flor de Caña in 1970 with a 1.52 ERA and 85 K in 65 IP. He led the league in winning percentage and struck out 19 in a January 20 no-hitter against Bóer. It was the first no-hitter in the modern Nicaraguan league, which started that year. In '71, he fell to 6-10, 3.73 for the same club. In 1972, he was 11-9 with a 2.43 ERA for 5 Estrellas. He led the league with 145 strikeouts. He pitched for the Nicaraguan national team in the 1972 Amateur World Series, when they won the Bronze Medal.

He then coached and pitched for El Salvador in the 1975 Pan American Games. In the 1977 Central American Games, he led in ERA with one unearned run in 11 2/3 IP as El Salvador won the Bronze (his Nicaraguan countrymates took the Gold).

The Pittsburgh Pirates and Cincinnati Reds offered him contracts at points in his career. Struggling to make a living at age 68, he was still working security at a sports complex in Nicaragua.
