Biographical Information[edit]
Art "Watty" Watson was a catcher who played in the Federal League in 1914 and 1915, posting numbers of .337/.364/.537 in 95 at-bats. His biggest success was in 22 games with the 1915 Buffalo Buffeds where he hit .467 on a team that hit .249. The regular catcher, Walter Blair (who also managed part of the season), hit .224. Watson and Blair were the same age, and 1915 was also Blair's last season in the majors.
