Biographical Information[edit]
The brother of Venezuelan star Teodoro Obregón, Antonio Obregón had a brief career. He was 6 for 43 with a double for the 1961-1962 Industriales de Valencia. Signing with the Cincinnati Reds (as had his brother), he hit .211/.306/.248 for the 1962 Geneva Redlegs and fielded only .920 at 2B. He was 2 for 31 for Valencia in 1962-1963. In the summer of '63, he was 7 for 48 with a double and nine walks for the Tampa Tarpons while making eight errors in ten games at short. Overall, he hit .108/?/.122 in the Venezuelan League and .191 in the minors.
