Biographical Information

Catcher Anthony Esquer played in the minor and independent leagues from 2006 to 2010. He was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 24th round of the 2006 amateur draft and remained in their system until 2008; he played in the independent Northern League from 2008 to 2010. In 929 at-bats over five professional seasons, Esquer hit .277/.328/.328 with 2 home runs and 105 RBI. He slashed .249/.304/.278 in the affiliated minors.

The Reds scout who signed him was Mike Misuraca.
