Annie Savoy

Annie Savoy is a character played by actress Susan Sarandon in the movie Bull Durham. She is what is known as a "baseball Annie", a young woman attracted by baseball players who hangs around the ballpark and other places where young single players gather in order to pick them up.

In the movie, she is getting on in years (though still quite attractive) and though she hooks up with the young pitching phenom Nuke LaLoosh and tries to impart him some of the knowledge about baseball and life she has acquired over the years, she is clearly a better match for the older and wiser catcher, Crash Davis, played by Kevin Costner, who can better appreciate some of her quirks, such as her love for French chanteuse Edith Piaf.
