Biographical Information[edit]

Infielder Andy Parrino was selected by the San Diego Padres in the 26th round of the 2007 amateur draft. He was signed by scout Jim Bretz and made his pro debut that summer.

Parrino reached the majors in 2011, making his debut on August 26th as a pinch-hitter against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Playing the outfield, he got his first major league hit against Ian Kennedy on August 28th.

On November 16, 2012, he was traded to the Oakland Athletics along with Andrew Werner in return for Tyson Ross and A.J. Kirby-Jones.
