Andrew J. Baylock

Biographical Information[edit]

Andy Baylock was a college coach.

He played pro football for three years before becoming assistant baseball and football coach at the University of Connecticut, a role he held from 1964-1979. The team went to three College World Series in this period. He then was head coach from 1980-2003, going 556-492-8 and winning two Big East Conference titles. Among his products were Charles Nagy and Roberto Hernández. He also coached for Team USA in the 1985 Intercontinental Cup and 1989 Intercontinental Cup and managed the Falmouth Commodores at times. He won the ABCA/Wilson Lefty Gomez Award in 2011.
