Biographical Information[edit]
Andrew Lorraine allowed two runs in three innings for the USA in the 1990 World Junior Championship and took one of their two losses yet only one pitcher with a better ERA made the majors (Brooks Kieschnick, mainly a 1B-OF). The only pitcher who had a higher ERA, Willie Adams, made it as well (and would be a teammate of Lorraine's in college). Lorraine was 0-2 with a 6.00 ERA for the Tigres de Aragua in the 2008 Caribbean Series.
Lorraine was the pitching coach for the Pulaski Mariners in 2010, Everett AquaSox in 2011, Clinton LumberKings in 2012-2013, High Desert Mavericks in 2014, Bakersfield Blaze in 2015, Jackson (TN) Generals in 2016 and Israeli national team in the 2017 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers. He was hired by the Pittsburgh Pirates as a pro scout for the 2017 season.
