Andrés Flórez (Venao)
Andrés Flórez was a pitcher for the first Colombian national team, winning Silver in the 1938 Bolivarian Games. He managed Colombia in the 1944 Amateur World Series, pitched for them in the 1946 Central American and Caribbean Games (winning their first Gold Medal), 1947 Bolivarian Games (their only baseball Gold in those contests prior to the 1970s) and 1947 Amateur World Series (winning their first world title). His brother Cobby Flórez was a teammate.
