Biographical Information

Anderson Hernandez was signed by scout Ramon Pena for the Detroit Tigers in April 2001. He made his pro debut that summer, hitting .264/.303/.389 in 55 games for the GCL Tigers and .190/.190/.286 in 7 games for the Lakeland Tigers.

Hernandez was 3 for 23 with no walks or extra-base hits in the 2008 Caribbean Series but his Tigres del Licey still won the Series.
