Biographical Information[edit]

Amaury Rivas pitched in the minor leagues and the CPBL.

Rivas began his professional career with the Milwaukee Brewers, and he was 2-3 with a 6.91 ERA for the AZL Brewers in 2005. He had a 6.43 ERA in 4 games in AZL in 2006, and he also went 5-4 with a 3.02 ERA for the Helena Brewers. Rivas only pitched 6 games with a 3.12 ERA in AZL in 2007, then he had a 8-3 record with a 3.50 ERA for the West Virginia Power in 2008. He also recorded a 4.20 ERA in 6 games for the Brevard County Manatees in 2008.

As a regular starter, Rivas 13-7 with a 2.98 ERA in Brevard County in 2009. He then had a 11-6 record with a 3.37 ERA in 2010 for the Huntsville Stars, and he reached AAA in 2011. Rivas went 7-12 with a 4.12 ERA for the Nashville Sounds, and he was 5-8 with a 5.24 ERA in 50 games as a reliever in 2012. The Uni-President Lions signed him in 2014, and he went 1-0 with a 2.08 ERA. He then had a 1.91 ERA in 7 games for the Aguilas Cibaenas in winter, and the Chunichi Dragons signed him. However, Rivas had a shoulder injury, and he was placed in the minors for the entire 2015 season. The Dragons didn’t have him another contract after the 2015 season.
