Allentown Buffalos
Allentown, PA was home to the 1894 Allentown Kelly's Killers in the Pennsylvania State League. On August 16, the Binghamton Bingoes dropped out of the Eastern League and Allentown replaced them with the Allentown Buffalos. The team, though, played their home games in Yonkers, NY under the deal made to allow Allentown a team in the league. The club went 8-16 after joining the EL. They were managed by former superstar King Kelly, who hit .377 as the first baseman. Other ex-big-leaguers included C Jocko Milligan (.205, the club's only homer) and 2B Sam Wise (.250, 7 SB). Tom Donovan and Cy Duryea handled the pitching. The club did not return in 1895.
