Biographical Information[edit]

Alberto Odreman was a minor league infielder, winning one home run title and finishing second another year.

Odreman was signed by Atlanta Braves scouts Rolando Petit, Carlos Torres and Rene Francisco in 2006. He hit .250/.314/.326 for the 2007 DSL Braves. He improved to .286/.398/.498 with 10 homers, 41 RBI and 32 walks in 58 games for the club the next year. He tied Sundrendy Windster for second in the Dominican Summer League in homers (3 behind Darling Read). He named his team's MVP.

In 2009, Alberto played for the GCL Braves (.251/.305/.415 in 55 G) and Danville Braves (1 for 3). He led the Gulf Coast League with nine home runs, one ahead of Layton Hiller. He struggled in 2010 with Danville (.225/.296/.382 in 33 G) and the Rome Braves (3 for 27, 2B, BB, 11 K) to end his US career.

With the Cardenales de Lara in 2010-2011, he was 2 for 4. He was 1 for 3 with a double and two runs for them in 2012-2013. Despite his solid production in those two Venezuelan Winter League campaigns, he did not play in either 2011-2012, 2013-2014 or 2014-2015.

Odreman hit .227/.433/.273 with 6 runs, two RBI and a team-best 8 walks in 7 games in the 2013 Bolivarian Games as Venezuela won the Silver Medal; he played error-free ball as their starting first baseman. He drew their only walk in the finale, in which Alberto Acosta of Panama no-hit them. He hit .250/.294/.250 for Venezuela in the 2017 Bolivarian Games and again played error-free defense. In the Bronze Medal game, he hit cleanup and went 1 for 3 with a run in a win over El Salvador.
