Alan Arredondo played in the Mexican League for most of the 2000s. He is the brother of the more successful Luis Arredondo and Hernando Arredondo and the lesser Jorge Arredondo.
Alan hit .218 for the 1996 DSL Dodgers II. He next surfaced in 2002, batting .185/.227/.226 for the Plataneros de Tabasco. In '03, he was 25 for 80 (all singles) with three walks for the Leones de Yucatan. He batted .258/.325/.297 as a utility man for the 2004 Vaqueros Laguna. In 2005, he played every position except first base, pitcher and catcher and hit .286/.297/.333 for Yucatan. Splitting 2006 between Yucatan and the Rieleros de Aguascalientes, his combined line was .281/.345/.331.
In 2007, he again played 2B, SS, 3B and all three outfield spots for the Leones, batting .290/.339/.361 in 74 games. He was at .269/.321/.394 in 68 games in 2008 and .260/.366/.304 in 77 contests in '09, also stealing 17 bases in 20 tries. He was 22 for 72 with 3 doubles, a homer and nine walks for Yucatan in 2010.
