Alacranes de Durango

From BR Bullpen

The Alacranes de Durango have been members at various times of the Central Mexican League, the Mexican Center League and the Mexican League. The name is traditional for all sports teams from Durango, Durango, as its football (soccer) team is also called the Alacranes. Durango is the "Scorpion City" (La ciudad de los Alacranes) because the North American scorpion is found in Northern Mexico's Sonora Desert. Source: Baseball Team Names, 1869-2012.
