Biographical Information[edit]

Adichat Wongvichit was only 17 when he was chosen for the Thai national team for the 2010 Intercontinental Cup. He was hit hard in three outings, posting Thailand's highest ERA (14.73) and giving up 12 hits in 3 2/3 IP for a .522 opponent average. He remained with the team for the 2010 Asian Games and 2011 Southeast Asian Games (Bronze Medal). In the 2013 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers, he was 0 for 5 with a steal and a run as a shortstop for Thailand (with at least two errors) and pitched two innings (4 H, 2 R, including a homer by Boss Moanaroa of New Zealand).

Starting at 2B in the 2014 Asian Games, he went 2 for 6 with a steal and a run and fielded .778. He had one of their two hits in a loss to Gold Medalist South Korea. He was back as a pitcher in the 2018 Asian Games, though. In the opening win over Laos, he was part of a combined one-hitter, relieving Siraphop Nadee in the 4th. He retired Cola Phouangkeo, Phithak Hopkhop and Soua Xong in order, then Phanuwat Sukmuang took over in the 5th. In the main round, he did not fare as well, facing China. He relived Sukmuang in the bottom of the 6th with two outs and one on, down 10-0. He hit Yunqi Song, got Jin Yang on a sacrifice fly then threw a wild pitch to make it 12-0. He walked Zhenhong Lu, hit Ning Li, threw another wild pitch to make it 13-0 then gave up a two-run single to Shunyi Yang to make it a mercy rule 15-0 rout.
