Biographical Information[edit]

The son of Tom Herr and brother of Jordan Herr, second baseman Aaron Herr was selected by the Atlanta Braves in the 2000 amateur draft and made his pro debut that year with the GCL Braves. He was selected by the Seattle Mariners in the 2004 Rule V Draft but then moved on to the St. Louis Cardinals organization before ever playing in the Mariners farm system. He was signed by the Cincinnati Reds organization after the 2005 season and spent the entire 2007 campaign as a member of the Louisville Bats, making the International League All-Star team as a utility man. Prior to the 2008 season, Herr signed a minor league contract with the Cleveland Indians.

From 2009 to 2011, Herr played for the Lancaster Barnstormers of the independent Atlantic League.
