2017 National League Most Valuable Player Award

From BR Bullpen

The winner of the 2017 National League Most Valuable Player Award was Giancarlo Stanton of the Florida Marlins.

This was one of the closest raced in the award's history, as Stanton edged Joey Votto by just two points, 302 to 300, with both players receiving 10 first-place votes. One of the deciding factors in the final result was the vote of mlb.com reporter Mark Bowman, who gave his first-place vote to Kris Bryant, who was not otherwise considered a contender for the award by anyone else.
