2014 C-Level European Championship

The 2014 C-Level European Championship featured the two last-place teams from the 2013 B-Level European Championship (Slovenia and Ireland) trying to defend their spots in that tournament. The event took place in Ljubljana, Slovenia in late July and early August.

Flag of Israel Israel swept to the title, going 5-0, under new manager Richard Kania. Simon Rosenbaum (an American, son of an Israeli), a NCAA Division III All-American, was MVP, hitting .529/.636/1.294 with 10 RBI and an event-leading four dingers. The pitching ace also was an American college player, Dean Kremer (20 K, 1 BB, 6 H, 2 UER in 13 IP). Alon Leichman (1 H, 9 K) was the ace of the title game, while DH Eitan Maoz homered twice.

Flag of Slovenia Slovenia finished 3-2 as the hosts.

Flag of Romania Romania went 3-2 to finish third.

Flag of Republic of Ireland Republic of Ireland was 3-0 in their pool play but lost to Slovenia and then Romania to wind up fourth. American Nat Anglin led the tournament with 12 RBI.

Flag of Finland Finland was 1-2 in pool play but then won their two games in the bottom-tier play to finish 5th.

Flag of Latvia Latvia was 0-3 in pool play but recovered to beat Hungary and Norway in the bottom tier for a sixth-place finish. They were guided by US college coach Kristaps Aldins.

Flag of Hungary Hungary went 1-4 to finish 7th.

Flag of Norway Norway lost all five games, by a combined score of 61-16.
