1955 International League season
(Redirected from 1955 IL)
The 1955 International League season was the 70th in the league's history, and ended with the Rochester Red Wings winning their first Governors' Cup in three years. The Red Wings would go on to lose the Junior World Series. Rochester was the first Triple-A team to win a league title with a losing record since the 1939 Louisville Colonels of the AA, who beat the Red Wings in the JWS that year.
This was the final season for the first version of the Syracuse Chiefs.
