Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Zach Nuding began his professional career in 2010. He was originally drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 37th round of the 2009 amateur draft, but opted not to sign. He was next taken by the New York Yankees in the 30th round of the 2010 amateur draft and inked a contract.

After some mediocre initial showings, Nuding went 9-3 with a 3.51 ERA in 100 innings pitched between the GCL Yankees and Tampa Yankees in 2012. In 2014, he won in the double digits for the first time, going 10-7 with a 3.80 ERA in 154 innings between the Trenton Thunder (7-2, 2.71 ERA) and Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (3-5, 5.07 ERA). The Yankees released him in April 2015 and he signed on with the Cleveland Indians, pitching for the Akron RubberDucks that year.
