Biographical Information[edit]
Yuki Yamauchi has caught for the Japanese national team.
After college, Yamauchi played for Tokyo Gas in the industrial leagues. He won Best Nine honors as the top catcher in the industrial leagues in 2016 and 2017. He played for Japan in the 2017 Asian Championship. He split catching with Takumi Oshiro and Ryo Kinami. In the opener, he was 5 for 5 with a double, 3 runs and 5 RBI in a 30-0 rout of Hong Kong. He was 0 for 5 the rest of the tournament, including 0-for-1 in the Gold Medal Game 6-1 win over Taiwan, yet made the All-Tournament team as the catcher.
