Biographical Information[edit]
Young-jin Chung played for the South Korean national team in the 1990 Baseball World Cup, hitting .300/.417/.500 and handling 10 chances error-free; he was their most-used right fielder. He homered off Mexico's Leodegario Longoria. The Pacific Dolphins signed him in 1991, and he hit .235/.328/.333 in 27 games. Chung slumped to .218/.317/.289 in 1992, and he struggled again as his batting line was .188/.303/.246 in 1993. The Dolphins released him after the 1993 season.
Overall, Chung hit .209/.313/.278 with 72 hits in 3 seasons in the KBO.
