Youhua Guo has been an occasional member of the Chinese national team.
Guo debuted for the national team in 2006, appearing in the Konami Cup, 2006 Asian Games and 2006 Haarlem Baseball Week (1 IP, 2 H, 0 R). The next year, he was in the Konami Cup and the Arizona Fall League (7 runs in 1/3 of an inning, including 3 home runs). He was with China as they hosted the 2008 Olympics and threw 2/3 of an inning. He relieved Kai Liu in the Japan-China game and allowed a RBI single to Atsunori Inaba but was not charged with any runs.
