Team History[edit]

After 87 years without professional baseball in Yonkers, NY, the game returned in 1995 with the formation of the Yonkers Hoot Owls of the Northeast League. Managed by Paul Blair, the team was last in the league by a wide margin, finishing 12-52 and drawing 5,216 fans, less than half of any other team. No player had a very productive season, as the record would seem to indicate. The team did not survive to play a second year.
