Biographical Information

Yong-seok Shin has played in the KBO and for the South Korea national baseball team.

Shin was drafted by the NC Dinos in the 3rd round of the 2023 KBO draft, and he stayed in the minors for the entire 2023 season. He then represented South Korea in the 2023 Asian Championship. He was 2-for-2 with 2 RBI against Hong Kong, then he went 0-for-3 against State of Palestine. Shin then had a 1-for-1 record against the Philippines, and he was 1-for-4 versus Japan. In the Bronze Medal game, Shin went 1-for-3 with 2 RBI and Korea beat the Philippines with a 7-0 score to win Bronze. He threw out two of three who tried to steal against him. Shin mainly stayed in the minors again in 2024 season, and he only played 2 games with the big club.
