Biographical Information[edit]
Yisenia Frometa debuted for the Cuban women's national team in the 2016 Women's Baseball World Cup; the 19-year-old took over for Glenda Dunet in right field late in a 9-8 win over the Netherlands and replaced Claudia Jorge at short late in a loss to Team USA. She did not bat or handle a chance in either game. [1] In the 2018 Women's Baseball World Cup, she backed up Dianelis Porro and Jorge at short, going 0 for 1 with a walk (both plate appearances were against Yik-Shan Hung) and fielding .833. [2]
