Biographical Information[edit]
Yi Jiao was an outfielder for the Chinese national team in the 1985 Asian Championship, 1990 Asian Games, 1993 Asian Championship, 1994 Asian Games and 1998 Asian Games. In the 1998 Baseball World Cup, he managed China, going 2-5 in their first Baseball World Cup. He retired as a player right before the China Baseball League was formed and became the first head coach of the Tianjin Lions; 7 years later, he still held that role. He managed China in the 2009 Asian Championship.
