Biographical Information[edit]

Yi-Hsuan Tsai played in the CPBL for 5 years.

Tsai represented Taiwan in the 2012 World Junior Championship (going 0 for 3) and 2014 U-21 Baseball World Cup (1-for-6 with a triple, two runs and a RBI). The Uni-President Lions selected him in the 5th round of the 2015 CPBL Draft, and he hit .216/.259/.311 in the minor league in 2016. He improved to .314/.379/.449 in 2017, and he went 5-for-32 with the big club in 29 games. However, Tsai was placed in the minor league again in 2018 as he only played a game in the major league, and his batting line was .255/.285/.373. He hit .152/.147/.152 for the Auckland Tuatara after the 2018 season. Tsai went 6-for-33 with the big club in 2019, and he was 3-for-8 in 2020. The Lions released him after the 2020 season, and his professional career ended.

Overall, Tsai had hit .193/.277/.265 with 16 hits in 5 seasons in the CPBL.
