He tied for 3rd in the Gulf Coast League in losses. He peaked at 92 mph on the radar gun in 2013 [3] while posting a 0-3, 4.40 record. He was a late addition to Taiwan's team for the 2014 Asian Games, replacing major league veteran Wei-Chung Wang. He did well, fanning five in 2 2/3 shutout innings (1 H, 2 BB, 1 HB, 1 Sv). [4] He was sharp for the '15 Ironbirds (4-0, 2.57 ERA, .82 WHIP) but the Orioles cut ties with him.
The southpaw signed with the Kochi Fighting Dogs in the Shikoku Island League and had a 3.09 ERA. [5] He was then picked up by the Lamigo Monkeys in the fifth round of the 2017 CPBL Draft. He allowed five runs in two innings in the 2018 CPBL and 8 runs and 18 hits in 10 innings in 2019. In between, he pitched in the Asia Winter League. [6] The Monkeys became the Rakuten Monkeys in 2020. Lin only pitched 3 games in 2020, and Rakuten released him. He then signed with the Fubon Guardians, and he had a 3.67 ERA in 29 games in 2021. However, he didn't pitch any games in 2022 with the big club due to injury, and he announced his retirement.
