Biographical Information[edit]
Yau-Pang Ng played for Hong Kong in the 2010 Asian Youth Championship. At age 16, he also represented Hong Kong in the 2010 Intercontinental Cup, though he was not their youngest player, as they had a couple 15-year-olds. Ng had the highest ERA (32.40) on a staff whose ERA was 16.65. He pitched two games, allowing one run in 1/3 of an inning against South Korea and seven hits, a walk and six runs (five earned) in 1 1/3 innings versus the Czech Republic. He also played one game in right field, going 0 for 1. He later played in the 2011 Asian Junior Championship and 2013 East Asian Games.
In the 2014 Asian Games, he was 0 for 5 with two walks while starting in left field. He had 7 putouts, one assist and no errors. He went 0 for 3 in the 2018 East Asian Baseball Cup. In the 2018 Asian Games, he had two putouts in right field. In his lone at-bat, he flew out against Chi-guk Park.
