Biographical Information[edit]
Yang Sang has pitched in the indies and for the Chinese national team.
Sang was 1-1 for China in the 2016 Asian U18 Championship, beating Indonesia and losing to champion Japan. [1] Like many Chinese players, he was farmed out to the Texas AirHogs, struggling for them in 2019 (11 H, 15 BB, 15 R, 11 ER in 7 1/3 IP). He then pitched for China in the 2019 Asian Championship. The teenager made two appearances. Against Japan, he relieved Zhan Ya Wang in the 6th and worked 1 1/3 innings (3 H, 1 R) before Jiahong Mi took over. His second game also was against one of the top two teams, relieving Wang with a 10-2 deficit against Taiwan and pitching one inning (1 H, 1 BB) before Mi closed it out. [2]
