Biographical Information[edit]

Won-seok Lee has been a third baseman in the Korea Baseball Organization.

Lee hit .202/.294/.294 in 72 games as a rookie for the 2005 Lotte Giants. He followed by batting .226/.269/.265 in 2006, .262/.312/.302 in 2007 and .275/.320/.333 in 2008. He was sent to the Doosan Bears as compensation for Lotte's signing Sung-heon Hong. He did much better in his new surroundings, batting .298/?/.444 with 9 homers in 2009, having never hit more than one home run in a season before. In 2010, he fell to .268/?/.426. In the 2010 Intercontinental Cup, he was a miserable 3 for 25 with a walk, no runs and no RBI as the third baseman for the South Korean national team. He hit a meek .216/.298/.348 in 110 games in 2011. In 2012, he batted .268/.337/.394. He was much better in 2013, producing at a .314/.385/.473 clip to help Doosan to the 2013 Korean Series. In Game One of the Series, he hit a two-run triple off Seung-hwan Yoon to knock out the Samsung Lions starter in a 7-2 win. He hit .251/.308/.368 in 2014 then began his military service.

In the 2015 Asian Championship, he was 4 for 10 with two walks, two runs and four RBI as a part-time first baseman for the champion Korean squad.
