Biographical Information[edit]
Seung-hwan Yoon is a pitcher in the Korea Baseball Organization.
Yoon was picked by the Samsung Lions out of college. In the 2004 season, the rookie was 4-7 with a save and a 4.84 ERA in 56 games, but he struck out 71 in 67 innings. He spent 2005-2006 in the military. In 2007, he returned to go 3-0 with a 1.04 ERA in 36 games, allowing only 24 hits in 43 1/3 IP.
Moving to the rotation in 2008, Yoon was 10-11 with a 3.92 ERA for Samsung. He was 14-5 with a 4.32 ERA in 2009 and was 6th in the league with 131 strikeouts. He tied Aquilino Lopez and Jeong-hoon Cho for the win lead.
Yoon's fastball has peaked at 92 mph.
